This authentic 15-day tour in Morocco starts in Marrakech, the only one with its historical gems and its mesmerizing atmosphere. You will continue to Taroudant, the kasbah of Aït Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, before exploring the impressive gorges of Todgha, lush oases, green valleys and picturesque Berber villages. The golden dunes of Merzouga will invite you to discover nomadic traditions under a starry sky; and the journey will continue to Erfoud, then through the majestic mountains of the Atlas until Fez, first imperial capital of Morocco. You will also visit Meknes, Rabat and Volubilis, witnesses of a rich past. Day 1 - Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival at the airport of Marrakech, you are met by your driver and driven to your hotel or riad, and informed on the circuit. Relaxation and free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / riad.

Day 2 - Marrakech

After breakfast, you will be accompanied by a local guide to explore the city of Marrakech. This morning, you will discover among other treasures of the ochre city the gardens of the Menara, and the mosque of the Koutoubia founded in the XIIth. The afternoon will be devoted to the medina, the historic heart of Marrakech. Meet through the colorful souks, tanners, dyers, blacksmiths, leather merchants and other spice traders. You can also stroll along the famous Jemaa El Fna, where you will see shows by local artists of all kinds, including storytellers, monkey trainers, snake charmers, musicians, dancers, acrobats and others, as well as vendors selling objects and food stalls and others to serve juices, surrounded by cafes and restaurants whose terraces offer magnificent views of the square. Day 3 - Marrakech - taroudant

After breakfast, departure to the city of Taroudant, through beautiful mountain landscapes of the Atlas, El Haouz, and Asni. Taroudant, a city in the Souss region called the little Marrakech, also surrounded by fortifications and full of history. Less than 100 kilometers from Agadir, Taroudant tells the history of Morocco in past centuries having been capital of the Saadian dynasty a short period. It is known for its souks, its crafts, is its tannery located outside the fortifications. Among the local handicraft manufactures, we find traditional jewellery, Berber carpets, pottery, leather goods, spices... Dinner and overnight at the hotel / riad.

Day 4 - Taroudant - Taliouine - Ouarzazate

On this fourth day, we will leave Taroudant for Ouarzazate through the mountains of the Anti Atlas. We will stop in the town of Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco, and you will probably visit a local saffron cooperative. Continue the journey to Ait Benhaddou and visit its famous Kasbah surrounded by a spectacular fortress, and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. After the visit of the Kasbah, and lunch, you will continue on the route to the destination of the day that is Ouarzazate, known as the Moroccan Hollywood where were shot many famous films: Alexander the Great, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Kingdom of Heaven etc. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or riad

Day 5 - Ouarzazate - Skoura - Valley of the Roses - Todgha Gorges

Day 6 - Todgha Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

On this sixth day, you will take this beautiful road from the south towards Erfoud, vast oasis, capital of dates, hosting its international fair, and whose topology (red desert) has similarities with the planet Mars. Erfoud has a huge fossil reserve, and a large paleontological market. After Erfoud, we will go further south to the spectacular dunes of Merzouga. On the great dunes, we will join dromedary to the Berber camp, we will meet a fantastic sunset, before a memorable evening-dinner in an atmosphere of music and local nomad dance around a big fire under the beautiful stars

Day 7 - Merzouga Desert - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Cedar Forest - Ifrane - Fez

Get up early to see a sunrise over the desert, then have breakfast at the camp before taking the camel ride to Merzouga, and from there take the vehicle for an adventure in the Atlas Mountains. On the way, in the valley of the Ziz, we will cross verdant oases and the magnificent gorges of Ziz carved in volcanic rock before reaching the town of Midelt by the pass of Tizi Ntalghamt, the rich palm groves and fortified villages characterized by a fascinating southern architecture. Lunch in the city of Midelt, capital of the apple, nestled in the mountains of the Middle Atlas, in a region colored rocks that are burning like rubies. The journey continues to Fez through the mountain range of the Middle Atlas, the large cedar forests and the Berber towns of Azrou, and Ifrane, charming ski resort, also called the little Switzerland. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / riad in Fez.

Day 8 - Visit of Fez

After breakfast, you will be joined by your private guide for a guided tour of the imperial city and first capital of Morocco since the first Idrisside dynasty in 791. Fes is home to the oldest university in the world still in operation. The tour will begin with a stop at the entrance of the royal palace. You will continue towards the south tower of Fes offering a magnificent panoramic view over the entire medina. You will visit a pottery cooperative where tiles and mosaics are made. We will go to the tanneries to attend the processing of animal skins to make all kinds of leather goods. We will then explore a medersa (Koranic school), the fountain of Nejjarine, the mausoleum Moulay Idriss and the University of El Qaraouiyin. Lunch in a traditional restaurant of the medina. Then, return to visit the medina, and its narrow streets that house the many shops and workshops manufacturing all kinds of leather handicrafts, carpets, copper... Free time at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight at the Riad or hotel.

Day 9 - Fez - Volubilis - Meknes - Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen will be the destination of the day. On the way, you will make a first stop at Volubilis, archaeological site housing the Roman ruins, a UNESCO world heritage site. Then, direction Meknes, one of the four imperial cities that was the capital of the Ismailia in the 17th century. You will tour around the great walls of the medina of Meknes, then you will have lunch before a short visit to the famous gate of Bab El Mansour and the sanctuary of Moulay Ismail. Continue the journey to Chefchaouen. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or riad.

Day 10 - Chefchaouen

Day dedicated to the exploration of the charming blue city, the pearl of the North, founded in the XVth century, nestled in the mountains of the Rif, and has become a real attraction thanks to its peaceful medina with blue walls, to its former Kasbah, built in the past to protect this city from foreign invasions. You can also visit the Outa El Hammam square, the waterfall of Ras El Ma and the great mosque Jamaa Bouzafar, called the Spanish mosque. Moreover, Chefchaouen remains a very photogenic city appreciated by image enthusiasts. Free time at the end of day. Dinner at the hotel or Riad.

Day 11 - Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca

Departure from Chefchaouen for Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco and imperial city. On arrival, you will visit the Hassan tower, a mosque built in the 12th century without completing its minaret and which collapsed during the Lisbon earthquake. Nearby, you will visit the mausoleum of Mohamed V where are buried the late king Mohamed V and his two sons Hassan II and Moulay Abdellah. The white building with green tile roof is a real masterpiece in architecture and decoration art. You will also visit the Oudayas Kasbah, a 12th century fortress that includes dwellings on the banks of the Bouregreg River which flows into the ocean. You will travel back in time by visiting the ruins of Chellah, on the outskirts of the capital before continuing your journey to the metropolis, Casablanca, the beating heart of the country’s economy. In Casablanca, you will admire the Hassan II mosque, of Moorish style, founded partly on the waters of the Atlantic, with a minaret reaching 210 meters high, as you visit other main sites of this city including Mohamed V square. Dinner and overnight stay in Casablanca.

Day 12 - Casablanca - Essaouira

After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave Casablanca for Essaouira, a city on the Atlantic coast, formerly called Mogador, known for its cool evenings due to the sea breeze of the trade winds. Essaouira is also a meeting place for artists looking for inspiration for their artistic works. The medina is home to a variety of painting workshops, and Gnaoua music workshops in particular, which host the annual festival in June. In Essaouira, you are immediately charmed by the peaceful atmosphere that reigns in this city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad.

Day 13 - Essaouira

Full-day visit of Essaouira, which by its geographical position had its share of history in the time of exchanges between African countries and the rest of the world, including the expedition of Africans to the tobacco fields of Virginia and rice fields of the new world. Stroll through the alleys of the UNESCO-listed medina, where shops display local crafts such as thuya wood and silver jewellery. Walk on the ramparts and towards the Skala offering magnificent panoramas. Discover the port, and admire the fishermen return with their catch of the day. Relax on the fine sand of the long beach, and especially enjoy a fish or fruit dish facing the ocean. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or riad.

Day 14 - Essaouira - Marrakech

Return to Marrakech, free time to explore the city, especially its medieval medina and do your shopping on this eve of your return. In the evening, as an option, we can organize a dinner with fantasia show or a dinner with animation in the desert of Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad.

Day 15 - Marrakech - your return flight day

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to Marrakech airport for your return flight.
